• CAUS.MONEY is an upcoming Business News Media reporting on North American finance and the markets in Mandarin. With objectivity, fairness and accuracy, we provide 24/7 coverage of news and analysis.
  

• As a startup founded by media professionals, our vision is to provide high-quality financial information and business service to the Chinese community in North America.
  

• We are looking for full-time Reporters/Editors to join our news team. Reporting to the Chief Editor, they will be able to write, edit and deliver compelling news reports, analysis and other information.
  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Write, edit and produce business news and stories for multi-platforms.

• Research business stories and conduct interviews as required.

• Understand the value of information, and the connection between what is being reported on and Chinese community readers.

• Build contacts with a variety of companies and organizations to maintain a flow of news.

• We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  - Reporter: Financial institutions, stock markets, and company news

  - Reporter & Editor: Immigration

  - Reporter & Editor: Education

  - Reporter: Technology and startups

WHO YOU ARE

Education and Experience

• Undergraduate degree or postgrad certificate in communications, journalism or equivalent experience.

• One-year working experience as a reporter, editor or content creator in a media, corporate or agency environment. Fresh graduate are also welcome.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, content management systems and social media channels. Experience with Photoshop and video editing software is a plus.

Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.

• Strong skills as an interviewer.

• Expert research and accuracy skills.

• Knowledge of the financial markets and business.

• Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.

• Be able to adapt to an environment where news and information is updated frequently, and the work atmosphere demands urgency.

Schedule：Full time

Work Location：GTA preferred. Work from home during the pandemic
