Purpose
CAUS Reddit Publisher is a CAUS-operated Devvit application that republishes selected CAUS content from Telegram to a CAUS-managed Reddit community. It is used for publishing and synchronization, not for providing services to Reddit users.
Telegram data
The App reads messages automatically forwarded from a configured CAUS Telegram Channel into its associated Discussion Group through the Telegram Bot API. It processes only those automatic forwards for the configured channel and does not synchronize ordinary Discussion Group comments from users. Where needed for a post, it retrieves the message text, links, polls, and supported media from Telegram.
Reddit data
The App creates CAUS content posts in the configured CAUS-managed Reddit community. It does not collect Reddit users’ personal information, sell personal information, or create profiles of Reddit users for this App.
Operational storage and security
The App uses Devvit Redis to store synchronization state only, including the Telegram update offset, pending publication jobs, media-group coordination state, duplicate-prevention records, retry counts, and failure-recovery state. The Telegram Bot Token is stored as a Devvit encrypted secret and is used only to communicate with the Telegram Bot API.
Sharing and third-party platforms
Content is handled through Telegram and Reddit to perform the synchronization described above. CAUS does not sell data collected for this App. Telegram and Reddit operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
